TET 2017 (Teacher Eligibility Test)
The candidates who are willing to make their career in the teaching profession and also want to see their career growth in the government sector, for those Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) is one of the most famous exams. Nowadays, this exam has become mandatory as the government has declared that without qualifying this test, no candidates will be accepted as Teacher in the various Government, Semi-government, and Private School. TET 2016-17 Exam Pattern
- The questionnaire will be set with the Objective Type Questions where Multiple Choices have been given
- Each question will carry one mark and the candidates will get 1 mark for giving each correct answer
- Here, no negative marking is applicable for each question answered wrong.
- For each paper, 90 minutes or 1 hour and 30 minutes are allotted and in the paper, the total number of questions are 150

TET 2017 Qualifying Marks
The candidates who appeared in the TET Exam, it is the must for them to secure at least 60% marks in the exam. If they are not able to obtain the above-mentioned percentile, they won’t be considered as the qualified candidate. The management of the school, whether it’s government, local bodies, aided by government or unaided, the concession of marks and others will depend on them if the candidate is from the reserved category like ST/SC/OBC or differently able persons and etc. Though the relaxation is there for them but the weight will be given to the TET Score in the process of the recruitment.
The candidate should also remember that qualifying the TET does not mean that they will be recruited. It is the only way to get eligible for the recruitment drive. The selection process will differ as per the academic qualification, caste, and other factors followed by the recruiter.
TET Exam 2017 Certificate
The Government who is conducting the Teacher Eligibility Test shall issue a certificate for each candidate who has successfully qualified the exam. Without the certificate, the candidates will not be considered as eligible for the recruitment of Teacher in any Government, Government aided, local body and unaided school. In the certificate particularly issued for the candidate who have passed the exam should contain the date of birth of the candidate, registration number year, and month, address of the candidates, their secured marks in each paper, class level validity, subject area (if required) along with their name so that the authority will be able to avoid any kind of malpractice.

Unlike other competitive exams, TET does not limit the number of attempts of the candidates. The aspirants can appear in the exam as many times as he/she wants and improve the obtained score of the examination.

TET Exam 2017 Eligibility Criteria
The Eligibility Criteria is one of the most important aspects which you have to keep in mind before applying for any of the examination. As the candidate must meet the eligibility criteria then only he or she will be eligible for appearing in the examination. For Paper 1: In order to appear for the examination, the applicant must have the 12th passing certificate with the minimum of 50%marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary School Education.
For Paper 2: For Paper 2, the candidate must have B.Ed degree.
The Fees for this exam depends on the category which the candidate belongs. The candidate must pay the application form fees to appear for this examination by various means of payment including the Credit Card, Debit Card, and the Net Banking but make sure that the payment should be online.
Selection Process: The selection of the candidate will be based on his or her performance in the written exam. If he or she scored well in the written exam and his score is more than that of the Cut-Off marks then he or she can appear for the further rounds or Interview.
